For young moms

Today I am surfing on the net trying to discover as many websites/ blogs as possbile that deal with almost everything that is related in one way or another to babies and their moms, to pregnancy-before and after.
But before posting some of the best websites and blogs that I foundmotherhood, I thought I should share with you one of my concerns (since as I wrote yesterday this blog will deal not just with the pleasures but with the disquietude of young and not that young mothers) that I faced when it turned out that I was pregnant.

It's often presumed that if you're a young mum it was all a horrible accident, when in fact, many make the choice to start a family at a young age, although for the rest who do not make this decision, that choice is almost unimaginable.
At the same time, unexpected pregnancies aren't a problem unique to young mums - around 40% of women have unplanned pregnancies due to problems with contraceptives, or simply because they got carried away in the heat of the moment :) You might ask: What was my scenario? A little bit of both: it was a sort of a puny accident but subconciously it was planned and not just by me of course (I am not that type of woman who would use that tactics to keep a man by her side) but by my husband as well (then he was still my boyfriend:) When you're not using any protection don't ask yourself afterwards: How could this happen?!!!:) Especially if you get carried away every single time you do it :)))
But still I almost dropped my teeth when instead of one line on the test stick there suddenly appeared two... I shall never forget that dizzy summer morning when me and my husband got home at 5 a.m. after a hang out with some friends, and decided why not to pay a visit to the pharmacy and buy a test, if there are pretty obvious signs that something is not right...
It was a very peculiar feeling that overwhelmed me seeing those lines, the wolrd turned round and round and I turned with it. Days of dilemma followed...

It wouldn't be honest if I would say that I was decided from the moment I realized I was pregnant that I want to keep the baby, but I did not think about not keeping it either. It was something that I had to chew for a couple of days and to have a picture in my mind how it would be... I think many young moms know what I am talking about, especially if the baby is not planned, but it is a love-child:)
Apart from being somewhat happy by the sudden news I had my concerns which took a bit from my excitement.
Being a young mum can be daunting, especially if you think there are a few things you want to finish before settling down and have a family. Some young women might be worried about money or how to look after themselves throughout their pregnancy, ooor they are afraid of the fact that they might not receive the family support they do not know if they would expect.
If you're a young mum, you will no doubt share many of these problems, some of which are nowadays almost the same that older women face in pregnancy, such as money, housing and health issues. But let's face it having a baby is not that daunting at all, but it is a beautiful miracle of Love and Life.
Anyways, after two days of 'chewing' and fantasizing I was more than ready for the most challenging thing in a woman's life, the so- called motherhood.

Let's get back to what I was planning to do today, namely posting some great websites and blogs that deal with things that interest us.
